PAS replacement and new operating model


Context:

An international insurer wanted an independent assessment of its £40m transformation programme to replace its policy admin system and develop and implement a new operating model. Assurance was sought to determine whether the programme and organisation were ready to move into the next phase of the programme which would have involved significant financial investment and commitment of time and resources.


What We Did:

A Camelot Expert conducted a 4-week review of the programme’s objectives, status, governance and roadmap, as well as interviewing the leadership team, sponsor, key stakeholders and third parties. This culminated in a report that provided a thorough critique of the programme and detailed a range of recommendations, including pausing programme activity in order to refine and agree the business strategy which lacked focus and no longer fully reflected the organisations ambitions and appetites.


Resulting Business Benefits:

The recommendations were accepted in full and the programme was paused, allowing the company to get itself in a much better position to subsequently restart the programme.
